Second Week at CMVC

This week was our second week working with students studying food and nutrition at Chiang Mai Vocational College.  We continued to learn English words and to use activities relating to food, menus and cooking to demonstrate food preparation which will benefit students in their future endeavors.  We studied vocabulary about cooking and practiced food shopping while reviewing English fundamentals for conversation.  Taking all that we learned into consideration, the students prepared menus, made grocery lists, theoretically went shopping and prepared a full dinner from their fantasy restaurants.  At the end, more than 20 students were presented with certificates of completion.

Beginning Session with CVC

It is the 1st of October and the beginning of a new project with Chiangmai Vocational College.  How exciting that this time we will be working on the college campus.  Approximately 20 new students have taken time away from their school break to use it to their advantage and improve their English skills.  This is a basics, fundamental English class for conversation with emphasis on food and beverage service in preparation for their future business endeavors.  Can't wait to see how much they will learn in the next 2 weeks.

Beautiful works of art created by CVC students on display.
